For trading B shares, please call relevant business unit or account executive to place your order.

B Shares trading hour is Hong Kong Time Monday to Friday 09:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. (09:15 a.m. - 09:25 a.m. is pre-market trading hour) & 01:00 p.m. - 03:00 p.m., except from Chinese public holidays. However, B Shares Trading Service will not support Pre/Pro market trading, and all daily orders will be cancelled at 03:00 p.m.

Margin financing is not available at the moment.

ST Shares means Special Treatment, indicating that the listing company has posted a loss for two consecutive years or NAV per share is lower than its Face Value, and it will be traded with some special conditions.

Yes. Except first day of listing, daily fluctuation of B Shares are +/-10%, any orders out of this range will be rejected. Daily fluctuation of ST Shares are+/- 5%.

Settlement day of B Shares Trading Service is the third business day after transaction day (T+3). For Shanghai B Shares, the settlement day must be Chinese and US business day simultaneously. For Shenzhen B Shares, the settlement day must be Chinese and Hong Kong business day simultaneously. Unsettled fund can’t be withdrawn, however, can be used to initiate another buy order.

The B Shares market is quite different from the HK market. For example:

1) Lot size of Shanghai and Shenzhen B Shares are 100 shares. Buy order should be 100 shares or its multiple, however there is no restriction for sell order. The minimum size is 1 share.

2) Day Trade (T+0) is not allowed for B Shares. B Shares can only be sold at least 1 day after the day of purchase.

The purchasing power for local shares cannot be used to buy B shares, no matter it is denominated in the same currency. You have to transfer the HKD/USD to trade Shenzhen/Shanghai B shares first for different exchange.
